Dane County is part of the federal High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program because there is evidence of significant drug production, manufacturing, importation, or distribution.- In Wisconsin and Dane County, most users of meth, cocaine and heroin are adults.
- Contamination of THC products with street drugs, especially Fentanyl, is a serious concern.
How We Can Help
- Talk with your youth about the dangers of drug use. Here are some tips for getting the conversation started
- Decide if you need to have Narcan or fentanyl test strips available. The Wellness Coalition can help you get trained and equipped to use Narcan.
- Be a good role model. If you use illegal drugs, consider finding help to reduce or end your use.
